Seeming to have finally recovered her strength the Wavering Grass Hatchling slowly pulled herself to her feet. She swung her head this way and that looking about she had to find Hers. All of the ones that were watching her were good they all had their purpose, but she wanted Hers she had to have Hers.
Her progress forward was slow as she made her way between some of her yet unhatched clutchmates, but she didn’t mind and took her time to be careful of them. As she passed the Singing Hatchling she dipped her head respectfully to him, but didn’t stop. Where was the one she wanted?
The three as yet unimpressed dragonets all stopped their progress though as two eggs shattered at once nearly catching all three with egg shards and probably getting a few candidates as well as people in the stands with the force they had both just erupted. Neither of the Twin eggs had moved at all up to this point, but it seemed like their occupants were just trying to cause a stir with their as yet lack of noticeable effort.
Where the egg that looked much like the midnight sky stars and all had once sat now stood a dragonet so dark it looked black. The dim lighting cause by the storm out side in the bowl that had seemed to let loose just as the Twins did didn’t help with the look either. It tilted it’s head before turning to look at it’s twin, without the benefit of being able to see it’s eyes easily it looked much like a Black Speck.
The other dragonet that now stood where the egg that looked much like the inverted night sky was so light it looked white. The dim lighting was once more of no help in identifying this thing either. Copping it’s dark twin the white twin cocked it’s head and turned just as the dark one did looking for all of Pern like a White Streak in the darkness.
A flash of lighting and if you were still watching both close enough their true colors could be seen. The White Streak hatchling was actually just a blue so light he looked black, and the Black Speak hatchling was just a green so dark she looked black. They stared at each other for a moment, blue and green even in size opposite in color, before turning to the candidates once more.
By now their already hatched brethren had started searching again though The ‘Golden’ Male now had a green line down the left side of his head where a flying egg shard had gotten him. The bronze dragonet didn’t seem to notice though and neither did the twins as they started forwards at the same time. They matched each other steep for steep, twitch of the wing for twitch of the wing, they even both stopped to look up at Jerodyn as one before moving on again as one.
After a bit of a ways they broke apart, the White Streak hatchling going one way and the Black Speck hatchling going another. They still seemed to match steep with each other though despite their distance as if they were connected. They stopped as one once more White Streak before one of the white clad male candidate Black Speck before a boy hidden in the shadows of the entrance.
{{I am Tenseith and you will be my J’rik. Now they will not have to know about you. Only I will.}} {{You are my B’ne you are and I am your Yasashiith I am. Tenseith will help me keep you from being found out.}}
ooc: feel free to have been hit by flying egg shards…and sorry just these two impressing this time…more in like 12 hours~ish

Jerik now J'rik brushed away the tears in his eyes as Tenseith called out to him. Kneeling down he pulled Tenseith into his arms "I know you will my beautiful blue" he whispered to Tenseith taking a few shuddering breaths to compose himself before smiling. He looked up over to Tenseith's twin and her young man, smiling with a hint of regret and rememberance, he finally felt like he was whole again thanks to Tenseith and his twin.
Standing J'rik smiled down at Tenseith "What do you say we go get your twin and hers and get some food" he suggested smiling as Tenseith lit up with the idea. {{Yes, that sounds very good. Yasashiith will like it too I'm sure}} Tenseith replied with a nod taking the lead towards his 'twin' J'rik following with the biggest smile on his face.

His gaze tracked each of the new dragonets as they hatched. While he might not think he stood a chance especially as he wasn’t a candidate he could wish couldn’t he? So it was that he was actually caught off guard as the nearly black green stopped before him.
His eyes met her whirling red ones as they took on hits of blue and green in her happiness at having impressed. Then there was her voice.
{{You are my B’ne you are and I am your Yasashiith I am. Tenseith will help me keep you from being found out.}}
B’ne? Was this for real? His eyes widened before a grin spread over his face as he crouched throwing his arms about the dark green’s neck. He had impressed and for the first time in a turn thoughts of his game ending fled his head. No he was B’ne rider to Yasashiith and he would keep his secrete with her help.
The newly impressed greenweyrling quickly released his mate as the sound of foot steeps on the sand met his ears. He was on his feet in seconds pulled to his full height what of it he had and staring down the on coming person, all before he had a chance to register who it was.
{{It is just Tenseith and His do not worry.}} Yasashiith said happily falling in steep easily with her twin with a call of {{Food here we come}} to hers and her twin as she started off butting her rider as she did so.
“I guess she’s hungry.” he said as he followed after her right for the table that was just a half a dragon length away having been set up inside the sands due to the storm outside. Taking up one of the buckets of meat he handed a peace to Yasashiith before turning his attention to the man that had impressed her twin. “I’m B’ne” he said by way of introduction.

J'rik nodded and began feeding Tenseith "I'm J'rik" he replied. Ignoring the butting Tenseith gave him because he wasn't feeding him fast enough. "Do you want to choke silly?" she asked scolding Tenseith for being impatient, the almost white blue bowed his head before opening his mouth this time chewing and swallowing before asking for another piece. J'rik smiled at Tenseith, "I wish my brother was here" he whispered patting Tenseith as he ate sighing.

Zenth threw his chest out humming all the louder in his approval of ‘his’ daughters choice of rider. Erkendth had chosen one who shared his own rider’s problem, lack of sight. It was why he had allowed her to stay on his sands because she reminded him much of his own.
Xy’on frowned, he had always hated hatching when he could see, but oddly this one hadn’t been bad so far. This new though got to him he couldn’t control this shard it all and when he couldn’t see it it wasn’t so bad, but new of another blind rider? Oh shards just when seeing the chaos would have been better he couldn’t he swallowed hard and out of habit born of Weyrling Training allowed his eyes to drift closed as she shared in Zenth’s vision.
He could see the green leading a girl who by her movements could most defiantly /not/ see. He took a deep breath as he returned to himself trying to stop the tears, no one needed to be like him. His life was so out of control before when he could see, but then when he was stripped of his sight things had only gotten worse. Now to have another who was in the same position as him? He just didn’t want to think of that.
He was careful not to let his thoughts leak to Zenth, and was able to mostly keep his pained look from his face. The was not good at all. Suddenly the air seemed to grow thick and then there was a loud shattering sound. A stinging sensation following part of his right cheek and a couple more on his arm was all that could tell him what had happened, or at least were enough for him to guess.
As Zenth once more shared his vision he could see it was true as there were bits of egg shell every where and two dragonets standing on the sands. They looked almost like opposite twins oddly, which if he remember their eggs right was what their eggs had been too. As the lightening revealed them truly as a green and a blue he once more took a deep breath calming himself. Then they moved, and as one too. It was eerie to say the least, stopping as one moving as one. Eerie. He pulled back again, just noticing the odd trickling feeling from where the ‘stings’ ad been moments earlier, the pieces of shell had cut him. From what he could feel though they were not too bad.
Finally he remembered Aradia’s earlier statement “Yes I suppose so.” he said not sure yet weather he liked the idea or not.

He debated for a moment after hearing the other had a brother. He didn’t have any siblings, had been told by his father his mother had died birthing him. His father had never had any other children then him as far as he or Veone had known either so he didn’t even have half siblings. “Where is he?” B’ne finally asked deciding that it wouldn’t hurt him to be curious.

Oralia lifted her arm instinctivly at the loud shattering crack feeling the shards of shells hit her sleeve without damage. Aradia did the same, before looking over to Xy'on noticing the change in his expression, "I'm not forcing you to decide but think about it at least" she replied ushering the young man next to her over. Kozue nodded to Aradia and shifted to sit between her and Xy'on, "let me see your cuts weyrleader before I check and see if anyone else is hurt" he told him straight forwardly
Two other candidates wandered out onto the sands one obviously a girl as she clung to the boys arms quivering, this was all soo very new to her. "I told you we were late Tamar" she scolded him though she hid behind him. Tamar sighed it was no use trying to pull his arm free when Liko was clinging to it. The guy was a leech he refused to let go so just this one Tamar gave up "does it really matter we're here now aren't we" he retorted not happy with Liko hanging off his arm
Jayvyn followed shortly after the other two, he was late as usual but that didn't matter to him. He shrugged his shoulders as he stepped onto the hot sands but didn't go much further gracefully leaning against on of the entrance walls to watch the whole thing. If a dragon wanted him they knew where to find him, so why did he need to be all the way out there if his could find him, that was if today was the day for him to bond.
J'rik looked away painfully as he remebered finding out what happened successfully blocking his thoughts from Tenseith luckily. "He died of the sickness. he was my twin and a brown rider here." J'rik replied softly before looking back as Tenseith butted him again realsing that in remembering he forgot to give Tenseith another piece, smiling weakly at his lifemate he fed him another lump of meat.

Xy’on snorted at the demand to see his cuts. They were nothing he would soak in the bathing pool later and then they would get clean, if not Zenth could tell him when he bathed him again. Two things he could still manage on his own, both of which he was entirely grateful for washing and caring for his person and being able to wash and care for Zenth. Sometimes he wondered about his choice of Aradia as Weyrling Master, but he knew it was for the best the Weyrlings needed the most experienced person they could get.
Conceding so that the healer would go away though he held up his arm allowing the other to see the two rather shallow cuts on his right forearm. They were only barely enough to bleed and had a small tail down them towards his hand where they had been and they are both about an inch long with something like two inches between them. Turning his head too so that the one on his right cheek could seen he locked his jaw doing his best to prevent the breakdown he could feel coming on, there was a reason he had always avoided hatching unless Zenth was the sire. The one on his face was slightly worse off then the ones on his arm: it was about an inch and a half long, looked like it was bout an eighth of an inch deep, and the trail of blood now down the side of his face was only made worse as he spoke and now locked his jaw.
For now he kept himself from answering Aradia though, he truly had no choice. He needed some sort of control back in his life and Weyrling Training was something he could probably manage without to much trouble.

“At least you had someone. My mother died birthing me and my father never took another. So I am alone except for Ginger and now Yasashiith.” B’ne replied not at all sorry for the other. At least he had had someone, where as he had been alone with his father all his life. Of course he had made a few friends in various places they had lived, but then he lost them and had to make new ones every time they moved. So he couldn’t bring himself to feel sorry for J’rik, he should be happy that he /did/ have someone instead of sad that he didn’t have them anymore. Not everyone got the chance to have someone.
Yasashiith opened her muzzle taking the latest piece of meat offered her before speaking to her twin. {{Mine is not trying to be mean to yours Tenseith. B’ne just feels yours should be happy that he did have someone not sad that he doesn’t have them any more. Mine is just not very good with words.}} she informed the other.

J'rik smiled weakly "my father and mother forgot about me in favour of my younger sister. I hadn't seen my brother since I left home at 9. No one even noticed I was gone except my brother. As far as I know now I have no family no one but Tenseith now" he sighed, he was finally tired of travelling alone.
{{I know and mine knows. J'rik has me now so he'll not be sad anymore}}Tenseith replied calmly, finishing the meat off he nuzzled J'rik softly managing a smile from the young man, though it was only a half smile his eyes still looking rather lost.

Riona slid nimbly off Valorth back. A vicious storm raged around the green as her rider handed down her passengers. The portly craft master and his wife were complaining about the short notice for the hatching, the weather, and anything else that came into their view. Riona suppressed the urge to roll her eyes as she escorted the two inside.
The greenrider had left to pick up guests as soon as she had heard tell tale humming and made good time, but this clutch appeared to be in a bit of a hurry. When Riona slid, soaking wet, into a seat at the back of the stands, she was dismayed to find that she had missed the first few impressions. There were still plenty of eggs left to hatch, and a few hatchling yet to impress, but that first impression was always something special to watch.
She leaned forward in her seat, eyes intent on the sands. She wondered idly who would impress next, Valorth, listening in as always. {{It would take all the fun out of it if I told you.}} Riona chuckled at her green. "Of course it would darling, I'm just curious is all. Though I think that bronze lad has been more then patient with his chosen."

A swaying plane of grass seems to cover the shell that spilled forth the next hatchling. It shook violently for a moment before stopping all together for just as long a moment. Then finally there was a whole in the shell made by the hindleg of the dragonet within, or at least it appeared to be a hindleg it was drawn back into the egg so quickly though it was hard to tell.
A moment and some scratching and tapping later and the whole was made larger and now both neon green hind legs were out the whole. The egg shook again as the green within struggled in now being trapped in two ways until she finally got more area around the whole broken open and she slid out of her egg due to the goop on her hide from her egg.
She landed on the sands with an odd squeak like sound where she sat for a moment looking around. It didn’t last long though before she pulled herself up and started forward, the problem was she was heading towards Zenth and the others with him not towards the candidates. She didn’t seem to notice though well not until she ran into Zenth and looked up at him managing to look rather innocent as she stared up at her ‘sire’.
Apparently still not watching what she was doing the brightly shaded green twitched her tail rather hard hitting, the Gold egg.
A loud cracking sound could be heard from the Queen Egg when the rather averaged sized green’s tail connected with it. Yet some how said green managed to look rather surprised as if she hadn’t known that was what would happen if she had cracked her tail like she had. Despite how close she had been standing to the egg. She seemed to give the bronze a ‘What I didn’t do anything’ look before heading off again, this time towards the candidates just as another flash of lightening lit up the caverns being an almost blinding light as it hit the green’s hide. This Blinding Trouble Hatchling had yet to lose that ‘look’ she had given Zenth, trying for all the world to look like it had been an accident despite the fact that she had /intentionally/ gone towards Zenth and not the candidates.
While the green was now heading for the candidate’s the crack of her tail on the goldling’s egg seemed to spur her on. The egg shook harder as the crack in the shell that the green had made started to widen slowly. The gold worked on the crack until she could shove her muzzle out of it, but with that she split the rest of her egg open and she tumbled muzzle over tail away from the over protective Zenth and into the sands.
The gold sat there for a moment in a daze at not only her abrupt entrance into the world outside her egg, but her introduction to the sand that went with it. From where she sat though it gave a rather good view of her. Her hide was rather dull compared to what her egg had been and while it still held that shine all golds did it did not seem as strong. The wings spread to with side of her were on the small side as were the neck and tail spread out opposite to them.
By now she had finally gathered herself and pulled herself up. Her forelegs were longer then normal and thicker with muscle, which followed right along with the main part of her body which was rather stocky and rather well muscled.
The whispers of ‘Wher’ spread like thread in grass though the watchers. Which was actually rather true over all she looked rather more like a Wher then a Dragon. The ‘Wher’ Dragon didn’t seem to mind though. Now that she was on her feet she held her head high and marched forward unconcerned with anything said of her.
The ‘Wher’ Dragon knew exactly who she wanted though. She had known all her life who Hers was and now everyone else could know too. She stopped right in front of the white clad girl looking up at her. She stared at Syriella for a long moment though not saying a thing. Finally though she spoke up {{Mine? I am Maigoth, you will be Mine won’t you?}} she asked her voice low and unsure her small wings and tail all drooping as she waited for her chosen to reply.
As if that was all the rest of the Dragonets had been waiting on, the hatching picked up it’s pace once more as it seemed to have stalled out the second the gold hatched.
A large yet desolate looking egg shattered like a rippling water fall. The shards started falling from the top and continued downwards as the light brown, basically chocolate color of the captive hatchling was revealed. The well muscled thing that emerged swung his head making his hide to look like liquid chocolate as the muscled played under hide. The Moving Chocolate Hatchling didn’t need much time though.
He moved forward tracking Kozue as he moved through the candidates hunting for those who had been hurt by the hatching of Tenseith and Yasashiith. After a few moments though he seemed to realize the boy was busy {{Your Hiexpetoth is going to get food.}} he informed his chosen not wanting to bother him with that while he was busy.
So the brown made his own way towards the meat and his clutchmates. It didn’t last long though as he soon realize he couldn’t get to the food on his own. So once more he reached out to Kozue {{I am sorry to bother you again Mine, but I can not get to the meat.}} he said sounding rather sorry actually as he turned back to where the other was.
When the Singing Hatchling abruptly stopped his odd singing in mid steep it earned him some more odd look, but he still didn’t mind nope nope cause he had finally found His. As he picked back up his odd singing sound the bronze turned heading towards a boy who had just made his way to the sands {{There you are. Your Novusth was wondering where you had gone on him.}} he told Jayvyn nuzzling the boy.
The Wavering Grass Hatchling was still just as uncertain as ever as she had still yet to locate Hers, but she wasn’t alone for long. As she passed by the egg that was not only half buried in the sand, but also nearly sand colored she was joined by another hatchling. Crawling right out of the sand that covered the lower half of the egg a smallish nearly sea blue colored dragonet took off after the Wavering Grass Hatchling with a call of {{I’ll follow you.}} to her.
The Wavering Grass Hatchling stopped and looked back at the I’ll Follow You hatchling behind her. Well he could do what he wanted she supposed, so she started off again. She paused once more though this time to direct her attention to more candidates that had just made their way in. Yes that was Hers, he had finally come for her.
Making her way forward again with the I’ll Follow You hatchling shadowing her closely she made her way right for Tamar and Liko. {{What took you so long? Rectusth was worried you would not come for her.}} she told Tamar.
The I’ll Follow You hatchling stopped as he realized that his clutchmate had impressed. He lifted his head to look at the one with the one she had chosen and crooned happily. {{See I knew following you would be good.}} he told Rectusth before turning his attention to Liko. {{Rectusth lead your Vlakteth right to you. Isn’t she good to follow?}} he informed his new chosen.
sorry this one got so long, but 'eh

**That's nice, I'll be with you in a moment** Kozue replied without a second though as he moved onto the next person. It wasn't until the voice appeared in his head again did he blink standing up right sharply. No it couldn't be, could it? he thought to himself until he saw the brown stare at him from the feeding station. Calling over one of his apprentices he turned walking towards Hiexpetoth.
**Hiexpetoth??** he asked as he gradually got closer and closer to the brown. {{I didn't bother you did I?"}} coming closer to touch Kozue's hand with his muzzle softly, Kozue blinked again before he realised that he'd impressed. A smile spread across his face as he reached out and patted Hiexpetoth "No you didn't bother me, my apprentices can finish up. Do you still need help with your food?" he asked softly as they walked back over to the feeding area.
{{If it's not any trouble to you Kozue}} Hiexpetoth looked up at Kozue waiting, he didn't want to be any trouble to his. Kozue shook his head and picked up a bowl finding a place to sit down with Hiex. "It's no trouble at all" he replied as he fed Hiex secretly delighting in the browns patience and personality.
J'vyn smiled at Novusth, patting the bronze with affection and love, what a wonderful creature who could sing he thought as he admired Novusth. "I wasn't going anywhere but here, sorry to make you wait" he replied grinning broadly, "Say let's get you something to eat Novu". Novusth crooned back {{I am rather hungry, but I knew you'd come for me}} Jay nodded spinning around on the spot before gracefully falling in the direction of the food, flipping upright again with extroidinary grace before he lost his balance which was rare. Following Jay Novusth began humming again his odd little tune, J'vyn dancing to it as they neared the feeding area.
Tamar, who suddenly was now T'mar sighed running a hand through his hair as he crouched down in front of the green that had chosen him. "He was attatched to me, i'm sorry for making you wait love" he replied motioning to Liko with his hand sighing in resignation. Rectusth looked over to Liko and Vlakteth and snorted {{I can see what you mean, well lets get some food then}} she replied ignoring Vlakteth's comment to her. T'mar smiled and stood "Sounds like a plan Rea" his voice had cheered up again and he was smiling something he never did around Liko.
Liko almost squealed with delight, dropping to the sands throwing his arms around Vlakteth in a hug. "She's wonderful, leading you straight to me. And your wonderful too" he cried happily brushing at the happy tears that formed in his eyes. Spotting Rectusth leaving he crooned out to her {{Wait for me and L'ko Rectusth}} he called, L'ko's eyes snapped up and seeing T'mar leaving he got up sharply he and ran after him, Vlakteth following him. Hugging T'mar from behind he practically hung from the older man's back.
T'mar sighed and shifted L'ko so that he was piggy backing him. A small smile tugging at his lips as L'ko's arms came around his neck as the younger boy gushed about them both impressing. {{You should be more polite and wait for me, mine isn't happy without yours}} Rectusth sighed along with hers {{Everything has a purpose and should be respected.}} she muttered to herself before replying to Vlakteth {{I'm sorry I should have waited but didn't know.}} she mentally sighed, this was going to be tougher than she thought.

“Being forgotten is not a very good reason to leave home. My father often forgot about me due to his harpering, or at least so I thought. He never really did, it just seemed like it because he was paying more attention to the other children he was teaching. If he had forgotten about me though he wouldn’t have gotten me a belt knife or Ginger or taken me with him every time he moved though.” B’ne replied once more. He wasn’t scared to speak his mind he had beat down enough of the other boys his age that thought him weak for doing so, or for crying when he had lost Veone, that it just didn’t matter to him anymore.
{{Why was J’rik so sad Tenseith? Because of his clutchmate leaving? If that is so then now he has lots of company, he has you and I will always be with you so he can have me too when B’ne does not need me.}} the green asked as talkative as her bonded. Her mental words were followed by a physical yawn though as her inner most eyelids closed in her contentment, her stomach was full and she had B’ne and Tenseith all was well.

"In the eyes of my parents I didn't exist. even my other brothers ignored me. I wasn't wanted, so I left, they had my little sister so it wasn't like they were going to miss me, they didn't visit me or talk to me anyway." J'rik shrugged, leaning down to pat Tenseith smiling at Yasashiith as Tenseith relayed her comment.
{{Mine still feels unwanted, but not so much now. I'm sure he'll love the extra company when your not busy}} Tenseith replied to Yasashiith, leaning over to lick a meat scrap from her face tenderly. J'rik just smiled watching the two remembering some of the better memories she had like the nice trader couple that looked after her.
