Month 1
~~Basic dragon care: proper feeding and hygiene – includes how, what and when to feed the dragonet, and what to do if a dragon has overeaten. Also includes training the dragonet to conform to a schedule but also to be willing and able to shift schedule when necessary.
~~Understanding and strengthening pair bonding – getting used to dragon emotions, and strengthening the mental and emotional bond between rider and dragon.
~~Complete tour of the Weyr – identification of areas off-limits for Weyrlings
~~Be able to identify by name all members of particular Weyrling class
~~Skills assessment and learning how to perform daily tasks on the Weyrling work schedule – this includes latrine duty (usually the poor sot who is currently being punished), mending clothes, helping in the kitchens, helping to serve meals, unloading tithe wagons, assisting Crafters, etc. This schedule is posted each week, with Weyrlings being rotated through various tasks. During this first month, Weyrlings will be introduced to all of the possible different duties that appear on the work schedule.
~~Basic first aid skills – use of numbweed, stopping bleeding, proper wound care (cleaning, changing bandages), creating a personal first aid kit for rider and dragon.
~~Learning the basics of firestone selection, sizing and proper bagging
~~Weyr rules and regulations
~~Knowing when to ask for help
~~Every Weyrling must make his or her own shoulder knot.
~~Every Weyrling must butcher for his or her dragon.
Sevenday One – no work duties this first sevenday
Sevenday Two – work duties begin: basic – latrines, cleaning, etc plus firestone duty- when this is needed
Sevenday 3 – work duty rotation now includes serving duties, kitchen duties, and Healercraft duties
Sevenday 4 – work duty rotation now includes beastcraft, weavercraft and woodcraft duties

~~Geography/History of Pern – Bitra, Lemos
~~History of dragonkind
~~Dragon health care and nutrition beyond the basics
~~Basic Ground drills. These are designed to instill self-discipline and observation skills and to teach the same configurations used in Fighting Wings.
Sevenday One – work duties now include all Crafts and Thread relief when necessary
Month 3
~~Geography of Pern – Nerat, Keroon, Rosuto
~~Basic Ground drills continue and grow in complexity, including first small group drills at end of month
~~Dragon health care and nutrition beyond the basics
~~Advanced Bonding between rider and dragon
Month 4
~~Geography of Pern – Telgar, Ista
~~Intermediate ground drills begin
~~Dragon Development and Growth
~~Advanced Bonding between rider and dragon
Month 5
~~Geography of Pern – Crom, Nabol, Mikomi
~~Intermediate ground drills continue, adding in group drills
~~Advanced Bonding between rider and dragon
Month 6
~~Geography of Pern – Tillek, Ruatha
~~Advanced group ground drills
~~First dragonet solo flights!
Sevenday Three
Day 19 **Dragons not allowed to eat after today until first flight is taken!!**

~~Geography of Pern – Fort, Southern Boll
~~Advanced Ground Drills continue – Crossover drills added!
~~Learning about fighting straps – construction, use, purpose, etc.
Month 8
~~Construction of first set of fighting straps
~~Use and care of other flight equipment – eye goggles, wherhide, gloves, etc.
~~Introduction to and details about HNO3 sprayers
Month 9
~~Geography of Pern – Eastern third Southern Continent
~~Weather, air currents, safe flying and fighting heights and other flight concerns
Sevenday Four – Fear of Flying/Heights, etc.
Day 27 **Dragons not allowed to eat two days before first pair flight is taken!!**
Month 10
~~Geography of Pern - Central third Southern continent
~~Pair flights begin!
~~Flight Sign Language
~~Moving into your own Weyrs!!
Sevenday Three – conveyance duty begins

Day 27 & 28 **Weyrlings Assigned their own Weyrs and are given an extra rest day to move into them. Welcome to the second part of Weyrling training as you are now a Senior Weyrling.**
