Ok well Currently I am not limiting the number of candidates, so there is no need for you to actually be searched, but lets just say you want to be anyways shall we?
Ok, so you have a person who is between 12 turns and 22 turns. Yes, that’s ten turns, and hey if you stand ten turns and don’t impress do you want to really keep going? That’s not to say someone older couldn’t impress, oh say from the stands, it’s just to say after that you better find a way to be useful to the Weyr or you will be kicked out as you can no longer be a candidate. The Weyr needs everyone who can to help out where they can and if you can’t be of help you will be leaving.
So you are the right age. Next thing you do? Find a searchrider. These will be a blue pair most often, but a green pair is second most common, and every now and then a brown pair will pop up.
So you got your search rider, now you just have their dragon poke and prod you and say you are a candidate. Then you either schedule a date for them to return to collect you and your things-at least 3 seven days before the hatching-or you are given a ‘search token’-a piece of wood with the Weyr name and dragon pair who searched you name burned into it along with another mark to prove it’s real-and make your way there your own way.
So there you are searched.
